How funny would it be if the tax forms were written in comic sans? Or just to mess with people, Old English?
Filling out the annual forms is tedious enough, guess we have to thank the IRS form designers for at least making the forms easy to read!

That would be hilarious if tax forms were written in a more playful typeface; however, since tax forms and well, any kind of legal documents are hard enough to understand as it is (at least for me), the typeface should reflect a standard, easy-to-read font. It's great that you posted this because forms tend to be overlooked due to their traditional style, when in fact, the serious undertones of the typeface are carefully integrated with documents such as these and a lot of thought has been put into the typeface used.
